Privacy

A browser sees everything you do online. rac is built so that none of it ever reaches rac.

What rac never does

  • rac never sees, keeps, or sells your data. There are no rac accounts, no rac servers, no ads, and no sponsored content.
  • rac collects no telemetry or usage statistics.
  • A feature you turn off does no work and makes no network calls.
  • AI is off by default. If you turn it on, your chosen provider’s terms apply between you and that provider. rac never sees your conversations, and the AI never acts in your browser without your confirmation.

Everything the browser talks to

Besides the websites you visit, rac connects to three things:

  • Helium’s services, for extension downloads, ad-block filter lists, spell check, bangs, and component updates. They’re run by Helium, labeled as Helium’s, and used only after you agree on Helium’s consent screen when you first open rac. That screen links to Helium’s privacy policy and terms.
  • rac’s update feed, a file on rac’s GitHub releases page that rac checks for new versions. You can turn update checks off on the About rac page.
  • Your AI provider, only after you turn AI on: the API, local model, or installed agent you picked, and nothing else.

Crash reports

Off. rac sends no crash reports. If it ever adds them, they’ll be off by default, and when you turn them on, rac will ask after each crash before sending that report.

This website

No analytics, no cookies, no third-party scripts, and no fonts loaded from other servers. Your light or dark choice is saved in your own browser and never sent anywhere.
